Wrought Iron & Beyond

Wrought iron, which was last produced in the 1970s, was an iron workers friend for its ductility and weldability. Now this material is often called mild steel and is a standard material for all sorts of metal fabrication. Aluminum, stainless steel, brass and bronze all have their place as well. Aluminum is a preferred material for it’s easy of cutting and it’s strength to weight ratio. Stainless steel is preferred for anything that is highly polished.
